Key Considerations for a Bedroom Addition:
- Size — A bedroom addition should be proportionate to your home. Common bedroom addition sizes are 14×16, 15×15, or 15×16. On the larger end, 20×17, 19×18, or 20×20.
- Location – Consider placement for best views/privacy and the location of other rooms.
- Key features – Walk-in closet, ceiling design, lighting, windows, fireplace, etc.
- Master bathroom – Location, style, and features. As a general rule, a bathroom should be about half the size of the bedroom.
